Principle
While the purpose of an isothermal container is to slow down the exchange and loss of heat between the inside of the isothermal box and the outside, rigid eutectic gels have a different role. These cold accumulators allow to produce cold and to maintain a specific temperature inside your isothermal container, like an icebox. Rigid eutectic gels are real cold production engines.
Just like a refrigerator or freezer whose temperature can be modified, the choice of the eutectic liquid determines the temperature that will be released by the cold pack.

our rigid +20°C gel for the transport of heat-sensitive health products that must be kept between 15°C and 25°C
Instructions of use
To restore their energy, rigid eutectic gels must be recharged at temperatures specific to their temperature range.
Designed for heat-sensitive health products in the +2°C to +8°C temperature range, translucent rigid eutectic gels can be used regardless of the season thanks to their heating and cooling modes.

Advantages
For intensive and repeated use over a long period, our rigid eutectic gels will meet your expectations. Unlike soft eutectic gels which must be frozen flat to obtain a homogeneous shape after freezing, rigid eutectic gels do not deform, thanks to their rigid shell. They will fit perfectly in any type of freezer or cold room for their freezing because their arrangement does not require any specificity.
Robust
COLD & CO’s rigid eutectic gels are designed with an outer shell made of high density polyethylene (HDPE), a material that offers very good resistance to impact and compression. The corners of these cold accumulators are also reinforced for better solidity.
Waterproofing
Depending on the eutectic liquid chosen, the COLD & CO rigid eutectic gel has two types of closure: a cap closed by ultrasound or a sealed aluminum cap, to ensure a total seal.
Lifetime and maintenance tips
Our +5°S rigid eutectic gels can be reused without time limit. Cold accumulators can be recharged many times to restore their energy. However, just like a battery, they must be used carefully. We recommend these 5 expert tips from the cold chain to ensure their longevity:
1. Store your rigid eutectic gels in a clean and dry place,
2. Limit the fall of your rigid eutectic gels, especially after freezing,
3. Do not expose your rigid eutectic gels to extreme temperatures above +50°C or below -45°C,
4. Do not pierce or cut your rigid eutectic gels with a blunt object,
5. Do not wash your rigid eutectic gels in the dishwasher.
Perfect combination
Our 900 size rigid eutectic gels are perfectly adapted to fit into our MedicalCase Pharma medical coolers.
