Principle
While an isothermal container aims to slow the exchange and loss of heat between the inside of the insulated box and the outside, rigid eutectic gels have a different role. These cold accumulators allow you to produce cold and maintain a specific temperature inside your insulated container, such as a cooler. Rigid eutectic gels are the real engine for cold production.
Just like a refrigerator or freezer whose temperature can be modified, the choice of eutectic liquid determines the temperature that will be released by the cold block.
In the same range as our eutectic gels +5°C, you can consult:
our rigid gel +20°C for the transport of temperature-sensitive health products to be maintained between 15°C and 25°C
Instruction
To restore their energy, rigid eutectic gels must be previously recharged at temperatures specific to their temperature range.
Designed for temperature-sensitive health products in the +2°C to +8°C temperature range, translucent rigid eutectic gels are used regardless of season thanks to their heating and cooling modes.
Benefits
For intensive and repeated use over a long period, our rigid eutectic gels will meet your expectations. Unlike flexible eutectic gels, which must be frozen well flat to obtain a homogeneous shape after freezing, rigid eutectic gels do not deform thanks to their rigid shell. They will perfectly adapt to any type of freezer or cold room for their freezing because their arrangement does not require any specificity.
Robust
The rigid eutectic gels from COLD & CO are designed with an outer shell made of high density polyethylene (HDPE), a material offering very good resistance to impact and compression. The corners of these cold accumulators are also reinforced for better strength.
Seal
Depending on the eutectic liquid chosen, the COLD & CO rigid eutectic gel has two types of closure: an ultrasonically closed cap or a sealed aluminum cap to ensure total sealing.
Lifespan and maintenance tips
Our rigid eutectic gels +5°S can be reused without time limit. Cold accumulators can be recharged many times to restore their energy. Just like a battery, however, it should be used carefully. We recommend these 5 tips from cold chain experts to ensure their longevity:
1. Store your rigid eutectic gels in a clean and dry place,
2. Limit the drops of your rigid eutectic gels, particularly after freezing,
3. Do not expose your rigid eutectic gels to extreme temperatures above +50°C or below -45°C,
4. Do not pierce or cut your rigid eutectic gels with a containing object,
5. Do not wash your hard eutectic gels in the dishwasher.
