COLD & CO launches the CityTemp

In the edition of the newspaper Froid News of March 2025, an article mentions the launch of a new product at COLD & CO, expert in the last mile cold chain and presented at SITL 2025.

An optimized solution for urban multimodal delivery

The CityTemp XL12 is a refrigerated, autonomous and mobile isothermal box with a capacity of 1000 litres and designed to optimize the logistics flow of urban delivery.

This is a co-design with K-Ryole, a French specialist in the design and manufacture of electric bike trailers.

The CityTemp XL12 temporarily transforms a light vehicle into a refrigerated vehicle

It can also ensure an intermodal logistics flow → micro-hub bike cargo truck →  thanks to its Dock & Go mobility system.

Turning a light-duty vehicle into a refrigerated vehicle

The CityTemp XL12 allows you to instantly convert a standard utility vehicle into a refrigerated vehicle, without permanent modification or costly installation.

  • No vehicle fit-out required: the CityTemp XL12 fits easily into the back of a van or light commercial vehicle (LCV). Reversible solution, the vehicle can be used for other missions when not in transport under controlled temperature.
  • The CityTemp XL12 has autonomous refrigeration thanks to its passive cooling system based on eutectic plates. Temperature maintenance without electrical connection is guaranteed for more than 48 hours.
  • Certified ATP, the CityTemp XL12 complies with the regulations for the transport of fresh food.

Ensure intermodal logistics with micro-hub and cargo bike

The CityTemp XL12 is also designed to fit into an intermodal logistics scheme, where multiple modes of transport are used to deliver goods to the end customer.

  • Fresh food orders are prepared and loaded into CityTemp directly from a cold store located on the outskirts of the city ;
  • Thanks to the Dock & Go mobility system, CityTemps are easily transferred from the refrigerated dock to the approach truck which in turn transports them to the urban micro-hub ;

From the micro-hub, CityTemp are attached to K-Ryole cargo bike trailers with the Dock & Go system. The last kilometres are thus ensured in soft mobility without emissions and without load failure.

The CityTemp XL12 is the ideal solution for logisticians, transporters, food e-commerce players, pharmaceutical companies and distributors looking to reduce their environmental impact and optimize their cold chain.
